Every day brings new choices.
The Brunch Cafe is designed to reflect the European culture of brunches in Armenia. Located on the first floor of Rio Mall, The Brunch Cafe’s interior design inspires a stylish and comfortable environment. By entering the cafe, you can feel the Scandinavian minimalism with the warmth of natural materials that give the place a special aura. Futuris Architects’ team tried to create an atmosphere where having brunch is not just about having something to eat but rather enjoying the culture of brunch alone or with friends.
Brand Identity: A Modern Approach to Brunch Culture
The Brunch Cafe embodies the essence of modern brunch culture—without any unnecessary formalities yet maintaining high quality. The interior design of this place is set to bring some tranquility to shoppers as the cafe's location is in the shopping mall. Every design element, from the architectural drawings to the most minor decor details, is carefully chosen to establish a soothing and inspiring atmosphere. This cafe is where colors and shapes harmonize with delicious dishes, creating the most welcoming interior. The balance between comfort and aesthetics is key to The Brunch Cafe’s identity. Designed to be visually appealing and highly functional, the space invites visitors to unwind and enjoy their time, whether stopping by for a quick coffee or a leisurely brunch. The seating arrangements are thoughtfully planned to accommodate different types of guests, from solo diners and remote workers to groups of friends and families looking to spend quality time together. The spacious yet cozy environment ensures that everyone can find their ideal spot.
Functional and Well-Defined Spaces
Finding the perfect spot in a cafe is not the most straightforward task. Different kinds of guests prefer different spots, different lighting, and different experiences. That’s why the Futuris Architects team takes this task very seriously by introducing the perfect layout for this cafe. The cafe’s layout is meticulously structured to cater to diverse visitors, ensuring a comfortable and dynamic experience. The space is divided into:
● Main hall: A bright, open space where natural light streams through large windows, creating an airy and welcoming atmosphere. The main hall is perfect for friend groups. Customers can sit freely and enjoy their brunch in the ideal area.
● Private corners: Intimate nooks for focused work sessions or meaningful conversations. For remote workers, these corners are the most wanted ones.
● Bar area: A vibrant spot where freshly brewed coffee and beverages are prepared, making a lively and social atmosphere.
Materials and Colors: A Natural Harmony
Generally, the specific area is made with the right materials and colors. The Brunch Cafe’s design philosophy revolves around authenticity and warmth, reflected in the choice of materials:
● Natural wood: Adds a warm and inviting touch, enhancing the cafe’s hospitality.
● Stone and concrete: Introduces a contemporary, minimalist aesthetic.
● Rattan accents: Lightweight, organic rattan elements blend smoothly with wooden textures.
● Soft textiles: Warm-toned fabrics bring in extra comfort and coziness.
The color palette is natural, featuring beige, honey tones, and warm wood hues, subtly contrasted by muted greens and soft blues. This thoughtful blend creates a balanced ambiance—both soothing and energizing.
Lighting: Crafting the Perfect Ambiance
Lighting plays a crucial role in shaping The Brunch Cafe’s atmosphere. The design integrates a three-tiered lighting approach:
1. Natural Light: Large windows allow an abundance of daylight, creating a vibrant and cheerful morning atmosphere.
2. General Illumination: Warm LED lighting evenly brightens the space, maintaining a cozy ambiance throughout the day.
3. Accent Lighting: Strategically placed pendant lights and small lamps enhance the intimate and inviting feel, particularly in the evening.
Lighting is crucial in every interior design, especially in modern interior design. Choosing the proper lighting is the cornerstone of every successful project.
Furniture and Decor: The Art of Comfort
To bring Scandinavian aesthetics to the cafe, designers chose the furniture and decor closest to the Scandinavian culture and create a welcoming atmosphere. Every piece of furniture in The Brunch Cafe is selected to balance functionality and aesthetic appeal. Wooden tables, upholstered chairs, and soft-textured sofas ensure a comfortable experience, while rattan accents in lighting fixtures, chairs, and decorative elements add a touch of lightness and natural beauty. Greenery, handcrafted details, and artistic pieces further emphasize the cafe’s distinctive personality. The moment you step in, you feel that you will have a relaxed brunch with your loved ones. Remote workers can also appreciate the furniture the Futuris Architects team chose, as they spend most of their hours in the cafe. Good furniture can transform the cafe into a soft atmosphere of home.
Design Challenges and Solutions
Every project brings fun moments, but also, with fun comes many challenges. Designing The Brunch Cafe presented a unique set of challenges. The primary goal was to maintain an equilibrium between openness and coziness. The spatial arrangement was carefully planned to create a sense of spaciousness while preserving intimate corners. Another challenge was achieving the perfect lighting balance to ensure the cafe remains warm and inviting at any time of day.
